🎀 Meet Belinda – Our Morning Team Hero 🎀
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re honoured to introduce Belinda, one of our incredible morning shift members and a breast cancer survivor. Her courage, resilience, and kindness inspire us every day.

Belinda’s journey is a powerful reminder: breast cancer doesn’t discriminate. It’s often associated with women — but men, too (though less commonly), can develop it. That’s why it’s so important for everyone to stay aware and check regularly.

💡 Why Self‑Awareness Matters

  • When you know what’s normal for your body, it’s easier to spot changes early.

  • Early detection can save lives — even small signs shouldn’t be ignored.

  • It’s simple and quick to check — and it could make all the difference.

🔍 How to Check Yourself

Here are trusted guides and resources you can share:

  • NHS “How to check your breasts or chest” — step‑by‑step visual & written instructions nhs.uk

  • Breast Cancer UK — “Know Your Normal: A Self Checking Guide” breastcanceruk.org.uk

  • Public Health Wales – Be Breast Aware (leaflet & tips) Public Health Wales

  • Cancer Research UK – Can you check yourself for cancer? (context on self‑checking) Cancer Research UK

  • This Morning / Dr Sara video: How to check your breasts for signs of breast cancer ITVX

📣 A Call to Action for Everyone

Belinda’s experience reminds us that no one is immune. This month (and always), we encourage every team member and every one of our members to:

  1. Take a few minutes to check yourself (or learn how).

  2. Share this post — help spread awareness.

  3. Encourage your loved ones (of all genders) to stay breast aware.

If you notice anything new, different, or persistent — lumps, pain, changes in skin texture, nipple changes, or anything unusual — please see your GP without delay.

Thank you, Belinda, for your openness and strength. Your story matters — and your voice helps others stay safe. 💖
